Finally had time to sit down and read this month's Elle Decor issue and was excited when I saw about this installation opening soon in DC!

German artist, Wolfgang Laib at the Phillips Collection, opens March 2.

Something else that caught my eye, in this issue, was the piece on Irving Harper and a few of his "Works In Paper", he is truly a creative genius. His work brings me back to the fun innocence of art.

 Etagere Project!!

I found this etagere at Ikea and I am going to spray paint it brass...will post pics after!
Sketch I did titled "Reflection", brass fish I found at flea market, and new candle from Diptyque...smells amazing.

New curtains from West Elm and curtain rod from Etsy.

Piano Bench Project!

When I saw this old crumby piano bench, I immediately wanted to take it and give it a makeover. So I took it to my parents house at the bay where I used my Dad's workshop to sand, prime and paint it.

While I let the paint dry, I took some fabric I had and cut it to size and used a staple gun to attach it to the seat cushion. Then once it was all dry I screwed the seat top back in and voila a new and improved bench to throw my purse on when I walk in the door!

While at my parents house at the bay, I gave them some new pillows for their living room and screened porch. Have a look!

I found both of these fabric patterns at Calico Corners.
